TSS is seeking a highly skilled and proactive Configuration Services Technical Lead to join our growing team. This role is critical in coaching and guiding a team of technicians to ensure the efficient execution of technical operations, maintenance, and support tasks. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to coordinate and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment. The Configuration Services Technical Lead plays a key role in maintaining quality standards, troubleshooting complex issues, and providing hands-on training and mentorship to team members to enhance their technical capabilities and overall performance. Reporting to the Associate Production Manager, this role will align on workflow, address operational challenges, and support continuous improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities

  • Coach, mentor, and train technicians to develop their technical skills and ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Foster a collaborative team environment that encourages knowledge sharing and continuous learning.
  • Provide constructive feedback and hands-on demonstrations to enhance individual and team performance.
  • Support the execution of technical operations, ensuring tasks are completed accurately and meet company quality standards.
  • Provide hands-on assistance in troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues.
  • Monitor equipment, systems, and infrastructure to ensure optimal functionality and implement preventative maintenance procedures.
  • Identify opportunities for workflow enhancements and collaborate with management to implement solutions.
  • Partner with the Associate Production Manager to assess operational needs and drive efficiency improvements.
  • Ensure technicians receive ongoing training on the latest technologies and industry best practices.
  • Maintain and update standard operating procedures to reflect changes or upgrades in technology.
  • Ensure all work is conducted in accordance with safety protocols and industry regulations.
  • Promote adherence to regulatory standards and best practices for workplace safety.
  • Work closely with other departments, such as Engineering and Customer Support, to facilitate seamless operations and issue resolution.
  • Partner with the Associate Production Manager to align on workflow priorities, address challenges, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate records of work completed, including technical issues, resolutions, and maintenance schedules.
  • Assist in tracking and maintaining inventory of tools, parts, and equipment necessary for technicians to perform their tasks.
  • Ensure proper maintenance and care of all equipment and tools used by the team.


Technical Skills & Knowledge

  • Strong knowledge of IT hardware, electronics, and system troubleshooting.
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues efficiently.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume production or data center environment.
  • Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.
  • Understanding of safety protocols and regulatory compliance requirements related to technical operations.


Education & Certifications

  • 3-5 years of experience in a technical role, with a strong emphasis on coaching and training team members.
  • An associate’s or bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent hands-on experience is preferred.
  • Relevant certifications (CompTIA A+, ITIL, or equivalent) are a plus.
