Companion Linc is a 245D Waivered Services provider that supports approximately 130 individuals with a variety of support needs, including Autism, Down's Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy and many other developmental or physical needs.

Position & Wage:
- Direct Support Professional In-Home Services Department
- Part-Time - Tuesday and Friday 4:30PM-8:30PM
- $98.00/hour
Position Description:
This position will support 2 adult siblings who live with their family in White Bear Lake. Staff will assist the individuals with personal cares, range of motion exercises, recreational activities such as games and crafts, help with dinner in family settings, and out for dinner on Friday evenings.
Evenings will include 1-2 staff supporting 2 individuals, typically assisting with range of motion exercises, participating in leisure activities in the home, helping during dinner in a family setting or going out for dinner, administering medications, assisting with bath/showers and personal cares as needed throughout the evening.
Job Duties:
- Supervise and assist with personal care needs including brief changes, bathing and transfers;
- Provide support with meal preparation and consumption;
- Provide physical, emotional, and behavioral support, allowing individuals to actively participate in activities offered while encouraging personal choices and assisting to maintain their personal safety;
- Provide transportation, in a company vehicle, to community activities;
- Complete detailed, accurate documentation as assigned;
- Other duties specific to individuals supported.
Job Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry at least 20 lbs.
- 18 years of age or older
- Valid driver's license
- Dependable vehicle with current auto insurance
- Ability to effectively communicate in English, both written and verbal
- Minnesota DHS background study clearance
- Prefer work experience in the human services field
- Willingness to participate with the individuals supported a in variety of scheduled community activities
