DESCRIPTION
Decypher is seeking RN Emergency Medicine candidates to support Wright Patterson Air Force Base, OH.
Degree/Education:
- Associates Degree of Nursing or Bachelors.
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
Experience:
- Minimum of two years of experience with one year in emergency room.
- One year of emergency room experience must have occurred within the last three years.
Licensure/Registration: Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to
practice as a Registered Nurse.

RESPOSIBILITIES
- Provide emergency nursing care for emergency (level 1), urgent (level 2), nonurgent (level 3, 4,5) patients coming to the Emergency Department
- Assess, plan implement, and evaluate nursing care for all patients including newborns, children, adolescent, adults, and elderly; disabled to include visually and hearing impaired and individuals of varying ethnic and religious backgrounds to include those who do not speak or understand English.
- Have knowledge of a variety of pharmacological agents used in patient treatment, the desired effects, side effects, and complications of their use as well as the accurate administration of the pharmacologic agent, including dosage calculation as required.
- Assume full responsibility for assigned patients and ancillary personnel.
- Delegate tasks, direct emergency room and specialty technicians, and provide counseling, guidance, and patient education. Recognize medical emergencies and responds appropriately. Assist medical team in administrating advanced cardiac life support measures when necessary.
- Have the ability to synthesize data from a variety of sources and make appropriate clinical decisions.
- Possess the skill in setting up, operating, and monitoring specialized medical equipment such as IV infusion pumps, cardiac monitoring devices, EKG units, oxygen and analyzers, nebulizers, and other unit specific equipment.
- Ensure all equipment is properly cleaned and stored at the end of each work shift.
- Ensure preventive maintenance and routine cleaning are performed as directed.
- Contribute to professional environment using appropriate leadership skills.
- Encourage team building and enhances work knowledge by cross training/augmenting other units as appropriate
