- This position is hybrid. In person at school sites.
- Wage: $28.00/hr

Job Responsibilities
- Present established curriculum in English about suicide prevention in school classroom settings throughout Alameda County
- Collect and compile survey responses
- Regularly utilize Slack, email, and occasionally text message to communicate and respond to team members during work hours.
- Represent CSS at health fairs and other community events to help create visibility for our agency and the services that we provide to residents of Alameda County
- Attend bi-weekly agency staff meeting and department team meetings
- Receive training for the agency 24/7 crisis line and/or youth textline as requested
- Participate in curriculum development
- Attend and summarize virtual and in-person trainings to build on knowledge
Qualifications
- Committed to serving the cultural and ethnic diversity of our Alameda County communities
- An associate's or bachelor’s degree in a mental health, social science or closely-related field, health sciences, or health education at minimum is preferred. This may be substituted for comparable work experience
- Experience working with youth (middle school & high school age) required
- Prior experience presenting to groups required (volunteer and/or professional experience)
- 1-2 years experience working or volunteering in any mental health, community-based, or education program preferred
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a team
- Prior experience in suicide prevention preferred. If no prior experience, must be willing to complete a paid training on agency’s suicide prevention crisis line and/or youth textline
- Must be comfortable using digital platforms for presentations (Google Slides, Microsoft Powerpoint, Zoom, Google Meet)
- Regular access to an insured vehicle is highly preferred (employees are eligible for mileage-based reimbursements). Otherwise, candidate must be very comfortable using public transportation (BART, AC Transit) to travel throughout Alameda County
- Proof of vaccination against Covid-19 required
- Must complete Background Check (DoJ and DMV) and LiveScan , and Current TB Test
