BASIC FUNCTION: Under the direction of the Director of Outdoor Education, provide learning experiences to classroom-size groups of students in various outdoor education areas on trail hikes and on field trips; develop activities and materials; supervise students in various recreational activities.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION: The Stanislaus County Office of Education (S.C.O.E.) operates the Foothill Horizons Outdoor Education program for the 5th and 6th grade students of the county. The Outdoor Education Center is located five miles east of Sonora, California, at an elevation of 2,500 feet. Foothill Horizon Naturalists engage students in hands-on science lesson on our oak woodland campus. REQUIRED DOCUMENTS: EdJoin Classified application. *Any combination equivalent to: bachelor's degree and one year experience working with young people in a residential outdoor setting. *Valid First Aid and CPR certificate *Valid driver's license
