Job Summary

ACOE Division of Student Programs and Services provides alternative educational options through court, community, and charter school programs for special populations of students across Alameda County. Teachers within the Juvenile Court School system are one of the primary service providers of the educational program for youth who are wards or dependents of the Juvenile Court. The teacher at Butler Academic Center will instruct students in the Alameda County Juvenile Justice Center with an on-site school program. The Alameda County Office of Education through its Juvenile Court School program works in cooperation with the Alameda County Probation Department to serve students who are detained in this facility that is under the direction of the Department of Probation. ACOE values the diversity of strengths, interests, and passions of students and educators. Working from their experience and strengths, the CTE teacher will have the exciting opportunity to build out, and implement a CTE program that fosters student growth, broadens career experience, and focuses on the development of key skills. This will be done with the support of Juvenile Justice Programs administration. The goal is to create and administer a highly engaging, content-rich, hands-on experiential learning program for students at the Juvenile Justice Center. Collaborative support is available as needed. Salary Info

25-26 School Year $79,817.75 - $152,022.50 Placement on the Teacher's Salary Schedule per Credential Teaching Experience. Credit for a maximum of 12 years teaching experience accepted. Benefits for medical if selected $600.00 per month.
