Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Vermont is looking for an Assistant Actuarial Analyst to join our Financial Integrity team. COMPENSATION: The base salary range for this position is $57,000 - $75,000. Additional compensation opportunities and incentives will be detailed during the interview process. Please note that the range listed above is our good faith estimate of the hiring range for this role. If you are hired at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Vermont, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as skills, competencies, education, experience, and internal equity across the current team. LOCATION: This role can work fully remote. For employees in Vermont, Blue Cross has transitioned to a hybrid workplace where employees within driving distance of our Berlin, VT office work Wednesdays in the office with flexibility to work remotely the rest of the week.

Assistant Actuarial Analyst Responsibilities:

• Support the development of financial projections, reports, and actuarial analysis for well-defined projects as directed. 
• Compile and evaluate statistical data.
• Participate in related activities and projects as directed.

Assistant Actuarial Analyst Qualifications:

• Student Track Qualifications:   
  1. BS in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics or a closely related field required.
  2. Level I: Minimum of one course of the Society of Actuaries exams.
  3. Maintain student status according to the Blue Cross Actuarial Student Program.
• Non-Student Track Qualifications:   

1. BS in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics or a closely related field required.
2. 1-3 years of closely related experience 
3. Strong computer knowledge (including programming, Access, Excel, SAS and/or SQL)
