Special Education Paraprofessional, Full Time 2025-2026
Dover-Eyota High School is seeking a Special Education paraprofessional. This full-time (35 hr/week) position begins with the 2025-2026 school year.

Job Objective: Special Education paraprofessionals support students receiving special education services throughout the school day. The ideal candidate will work closely with teachers, specialists, and other staff to provide direct instructional and/or behavioral support to students.
Required Qualifications/ Skills:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Ability to pass competency test OR Two-year degree
Strong work ethic, high ethical standards, self-confidence, good time-management skills
Excellent interpersonal skills, including communication and listening skills
Positive, professional, and collaborative with others
Enthusiastic about working with young people
Performance Responsibilities:
Responsible for being knowledgeable about all district policies and procedures
Work collaboratively and communicate effectively with other staff
Support individual and/or groups of students receiving special education services in both academic and behavioral settings
Abilities Required:
Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Patience with students
Problem solving with little guidance
Managing multiple tasks and priorities
Ability to use Google and Google features to complete daily tasks
Personalized Care Assistant (PCA) training is a plus and may be required for certain student assignments

Dover-Eyota is a vibrant public school district located 12 miles east of Rochester, Minnesota. The secondary building currently serves approximately 570 students in grades 6-12 and employs a faculty committed to student success. This fall our building completed a 20 million dollar building project, which included a significant renovation of a majority of the building as well as adding four classrooms, a FACS area, expanding our music classrooms, and significant additions to our Agriculture and Industrial Technology areas.
