As the Head of the Global Transformation Office, you will lead and coordinate the execution of Grant Thornton’s strategic transformation agenda across the firm globally. You will be responsible for ensuring that major change programs are delivered effectively, efficiently, and with measurable business impact. This role is not just about managing change—it’s about championing a people-centric, value-focused approach to transformation that enables the firm to evolve its operations, enhance client delivery, and strengthen internal capability.
You will oversee critical functions such as strategic transformation planning, change management, program governance, benefits realization, and capability development, ensuring they align with our strategic goals and deliver exceptional value to our stakeholders. Your leadership will foster a culture of agility, collaboration, and continuous improvement, making a significant impact across the firm.
Your day-to-day may include:
- • Partner with the Executive Committee to identify and prioritize key initiatives.
- • Translate strategic goals into comprehensive transformation roadmap aligned with the firm’s strategic objectives.
- • Build and manage a high-performing transformation team (program managers, analysts, change leads).
- • Implement and maintain governance frameworks to manage interdependencies, risks, milestones, and budgets.
- • Develop, track and provide regular updates on KPIs and value realization.
- • Lead the firm-wide change strategy, ensuring initiatives are embedded into operations and business culture.
- • Coach leaders and sponsor change agents to build internal change capabilities.
- • Collaborate with People & Culture teams to create and deliver effective communication and cultural reinforcement.
- • Support capability building through transformation toolkits and best practices.
You have the following technical skills and qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, or Finance. MBA or equivalent graduate degree (preferred).
- A minimum of 15 years of related experience in global corporate transformation, or strategic operations roles, preferably within the Professional Services industry.
- Change management certification (e.g., Prosci, ACMP) strongly preferred; PMP, Lean Six Sigma, or Agile credentials are a plus.
- Proven ability to lead enterprise-wide transformation with a strong track record of change adoption and value realization.
- Strong analytical, strategic execution, and stakeholder management skills.
- High emotional intelligence, resilience, and ability to influence behavior in complex environments.
- Ability to travel as needed
The base salary range for this position in the firm’s Chicago, IL, Downers Grove, IL, Denver, CO and Baltimore, MD offices only is between $206,000 and $343,800 per year
The base salary range for this position in the firm’s Washington, DC, Bellevue, WA, Los Angeles, CA, Newport Beach, CA San Diego, CA, Iselin, NJ and New York, NY offices only is between $222,800 and $371,300 per year.
The base salary range for this position in the firm’s San Francisco, CA and San Jose, CA offices only is between $237,200 and $395,400 per year.
