ROLE OVERVIEW and PURPOSE:
Neighborhood Healthcare is committed to providing high-quality behavioral health services to our communities. We have an extensive wait list of patients in need of our services, and we are looking for a volunteer to help us contact these individuals and schedule their intake appointments. Your contributions will play a crucial role in helping our patients receive the care they need. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for behavioral health and an interest in contributing to a community-focused healthcare organization. Please note, this is an unpaid volunteer position.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assisting with managing and maintaining the waitlist for behavioral health services
- Calling patients to schedule intake appointments and ensure timely access to care
- Coordinating with the behavioral health team to streamline patient scheduling processes
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associate's degree in psychology or related field preferred
- Experience in behavioral health or a strong interest in the field
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately
- Preferred: Bilingual in Spanish/English
COMMITMENT:
- Minimum of 2 days per week, with availability between Monday through Friday
- Volunteers must commit to serving for at least 2 months
