Riverside Research has an enduring legacy of excellent support to the Department of Defense and Intelligence Community and our managers are crucial to that success. Our Open Innovation Center Business unit is looking for an experienced Program Manager to lead research and development programs on behalf of our Defense Department and Intelligence Community Partners. This individual will manage a large technically diverse team, fostering customer relationships, overseeing financials, cost, and schedule for a variety of projects and contracts. They will also break ground in establishing a Product Manager role, guiding the evolution of IRAD outputs into marketable products targeted to current and new customer bases. This position requires a leader with a proven track record of providing their staff growth opportunities by identifying, capturing, and winning new contract work in addition to on-contract growth to expand their portfolio and diversify our customer base.
Responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain effective customer relationships with a variety of stakeholders
- Supervise and mentor a large, technically diverse team
- Execute independently program management duties that include, but are not limited to, managing day-to-day operations, maintaining work plans and timelines, tracking and projecting program spending, preparing status reports/briefs, and ensuring program status is communicated to all stakeholders
- Establishing a new process and framework for a Product Manager role, leveraging past experience and adapting to unique needs of the Riverside Research and customer ecosystem.
- Collaborate with government customers, contractor partners, and technical leads to develop long-term strategies and prioritize near-term tasking
- Manage subcontracting, consulting, and procurement activities for assigned programs
- Assess program issues and develop resolutions to meet schedule, quality, and customer goals
- Identify and capture new growth opportunities to expand business portfolio
- Other duties as assigned
Required:
- Current Top Secret clearance and ability to obtain an SCI
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business/Management/Entrepreneurship, or related fields and 12 years of experience or a PhD and 5 years of experience.
- Experience managing contracts for the Department of Defense and Intelligence Community customers
- 3+ years of experience managing a technically diverse team
- Proven track record of identifying, capturing, and solidifying new work along with on-contract growth opportunities
- Experience managing financials across a variety of projects and contracts
- Experience managing subcontractors, consultants, and procurement activities
- Experience in Proposal Development
- Demonstrated experience creating and presenting reports, briefings, and program related information to a variety of government and internal stakeholders
Desired:
- Mobile and embedded software development experience (Android, ARM based platforms)
- Experience with Rust
- Current TS/SCI Security clearance
