Trinity Metro has an immediate opening for a Recruiter to provide professional recruitment services by employing traditional sourcing methods, as well as developing new creative recruiting channels. The incumbent will play a critical role in ensuring that the company is hiring and retaining the best possible talent and achieving budgeted staffing levels.
RESPONSIBILITES
- Sources and schedules candidates for interviews at the direction of the hiring manager.
- Prepares job postings and advertisements; updates the job line, maintains job files, conducts applicant reference checks, criminal background checks, driving records checks, and any other pre-employment testing that is job-related.
- Completes the new hire process, including entering applications into the HR Applicant Tracking system, completing new hire forms and related paperwork, printing new hire badges, and preparing new hire folders.
- Meets with hiring leaders to discuss open positions and departmental needs.
- Build outside relationships by reaching out to community centers, colleges, workforce commissions, and city agencies.
- Make job offers to select applicants.
- Keep the HR Applicant Tracking system up to date with the status of job candidates.
- Assist with conducting new hire orientation.
- Manages employee referral program and keeps track of sign-on bonus payments when offered.
- Maintains confidential information.
- Maintains regular and punctual attendance.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES
- When directed, participates in interviews for open positions.
- Participates in company community activities to promote transit during off-duty hours.
- Performs other duties, as assigned.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a bachelor’s degree in business, Human Resources, or a related field.
- A minimum of one year of professional-level recruitment/HR experience. Must be proficient in work processes and spreadsheet software.
- Any combination of education, training, and experience that provides the required knowledge, abilities, and skills may substitute for the required education.
