Hybrid JFS Altius Farms Delivery Driver - Seasonal Temporary bei Jewish Family Service of Colorado

Position Summary: 

This position is ideal for an individual interested in sustainable farming and food production. The driver will deliver JFS Altius Farms packaged greens and mushrooms to restaurants, grocers, and the JFS Weinberg Pantry. The driver will coordinate with the JFS Altius Farms team members to determine which products are for delivery that day. Typically, the driver will say hello to the customer staff, load the items into the designated cooler area or on the counter in the restaurant or grocery kitchen. 

This position is part-time, seasonal, and temporary. 12-15 hours per week as needed.

Mondays: 11: 00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Tuesdays and Thursdays: 10:00 a.m. to 1:00

Fridays: 10:00 – 2:00  

Salary: $20.00 per hour

 Responsibilities:

•  Load packaged product from greenhouse and mushroom container coolers into refrigerated van, ensuring product and the delivery ticket match.
• Demonstrate good customer service when making deliveries. Such as greeting the staff of customers.
•  Obtain customer signatures from grocery deliveries. 
• Report changing conditions, client concerns, or delivery problems to the farm or sales manager.   
• Cleaning van and product bins with bleach, vinegar, food-grade sanitizers, and Isopropyl alcohol bi-weekly.
• Other duties as assigned, such as product labeling and packaging. 

Requirements

Experience (will train on the specifics of the farm operation): 

• 2+ years of experience in a driving and delivery role preferred.
• Must be 21 years of age, possess a valid Colorado Driver’s License in good standing, and have proof of insurance.
• Must be able to read, write, and follow instructions.
• Must be able to check the packaged product against the customer delivery ticket.
• Experience in general food safety and cleanliness.
• Previous customer service preferred.
• Experience in general vehicle maintenance, including entries into vehicle maintenance logs.
