Purpose of Position: The Community Relations Coordinator (CRC) will: build strategic relationships with community leaders and organizations; participate in a variety of community activities; and ensure Dort Financial Credit Union and our interests are best represented throughout our charter area.
Minimum Formal Education: Associates degree is required. Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or a related field is preferred.
Experience: Two to five years of marketing/sales experience required. A proven track record of community involvement. Experience coordinating and recruiting volunteer teams. Requires proficient, frequent, and ongoing use of Windows and other PC applications.
Other Requirements: Position requires bondability of employee. Must have excellent public speaking and presentation skills. Must exude confidence and self-awareness. Position also requires: willingness to attend outside activities; ability to work independently with minimal supervision; ability to communicate in a tactful manner; excellent organizational skills; diplomacy; self-motivation and discipline; flexible hours; ability to maintain professional conduct in or out of the office with staff, members, vendors and volunteers; a team player attitude toward Dort Financial Credit Union, and the exhibiting of that team spirit to staff.
