We are seeking a Maintenance Technician for our Ideal Tridon Smyrna TN plant.
First Shift: 7:00 AM-3:00 PM
Position Summary:
The Manufacturing Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing and leading complex maintenance operations, troubleshooting equipment issues, and supporting mechanical projects to enhance uptime, reliability, and production efficiency. This role plays a key part in ensuring manufacturing operations run smoothly and safely.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine, preventive, and predictive maintenance on manufacturing equipment, including CNC machines, conveyors, stamping presses, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
- Diagnose and resolve equipment malfunctions quickly and efficiently.
- Lead or assist with major equipment repairs and minimize production downtime.
- Provide technical mentorship and support to junior maintenance personnel.
- Coordinate maintenance tasks and prioritize work to align with production needs.
- Collaborate closely with production, quality, and engineering teams to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
- Lead maintenance-related projects such as equipment upgrades, installations, or reconfigurations.
- Track and manage project timelines, budgets, and documentation.
- Maintain accurate records, logs, and reports on all maintenance activities.
- Ensure strict adherence to company safety policies and industry best practices.
- Participate in safety audits and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Manage parts and supplies inventory; place orders as necessary to avoid shortages.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership.
Qualifications:
- Technical Maintenance Certificate and a minimum of 3 years of related experience, OR Minimum 5 years of hands-on maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment without a certificate.
- Experience with mechanical stamping presses is preferred.
- Experience with Omron, Mitsubishi, or Allen Bradley PLCs is strongly preferred.
- Expertise in troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Familiarity with maintenance software, tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work independently or collaboratively.
- Leadership experience and project coordination skills are a plus.
- Knowledge of industry safety standards and OSHA regulations.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, and reach for extended periods.
- Ability to climb stairs and use ladders, lifts, or vehicles as needed.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 80 pounds.
- Willingness to work at heights or in confined spaces.
- Ability to work overtime is a must (Weekends included)
