Join Our Team!
We have an immediate need for a Financial Analyst to join our team at our Corporate office in Troy, NY. This is a full-time role, reporting to the Chief Development Officer, and responsible for the following:
- Reads, abstracts, and analyzes complex legal real estate related documentation to include leases, financing / loan agreements, mortgage documents, partnership agreements, and corporate financial statements for relevant information that will have an impact on the real estate financial analysis
- Assists in the quality control effort to ensure that all client presentation materials are professional, accurate, high impact, and reflect the standards of quality associated with United Group’s work product, related to their financial analysis presentations
- Conducts and writes market research summaries to include sales and lease comparables that support and explain a property’s competitive market position, highlighting strengths and mitigating weaknesses in a persuasive manner that demonstrates an offering’s long-term profitability potential
- Identifies trends, recommends actions to senior management, and creates status reports based on financial plans
- Performs budget and accounting work to include reconciling transactions by comparing and correcting data
- Performs weekly and monthly reporting to provide statistical data tracking lease and occupancy for Management and Accounting teams
- Creates loan packages for distribution to potential lenders in attempts to obtain permanent financing of development projects
- Develops and presents first requisitions for banks as needed, inclusive all of back up documentation
- Researches potential tenants for commercial spaces, analyzing financial reports and current publications
- Works collaboratively with Finance, Management, Marketing, Construction, Development, and Accounting departments.
Job Overview + Requirements
- Job Type: Financial Analyst, approximate salary : $62,000 - $68,000
- Work Hours: Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week
- Required Education: Bachelors Degree in Business, Finance or Accounting
- Required Experience: One to three years relevant experience as a Financial Analyst in real estate, construction, or property management preferred; background in investment banking industries a plus. Excellent analytical, presentation, communication (written and oral), and organizational skills are required. High proficiency with Microsoft Office products, specifically Excel. Must possess ability to analyze financial data, as well as conceptualize, design, and manage reports
