About the Department
Responsible for maintenance and upkeep of the physical plant and transportation equipment.
Emphasis in HVAC
Position Duties
1. Provides general and preventive maintenance of physical plant, grounds, and vehicles;
2. Recognizes and reports to the Director of Physical Plant all safety hazards for correction and/or appraisal;
3. Recognizes and reports to the Director of Physical Plant all needed repairs or modifications necessary
to maintain and operate the physical plant, grounds, and vehicles efficiently and at optimal level;
4. Maintains all heating, cooling, and ventilation systems in order that facilities operate properly;
5. Requests materials, supplies, and services necessary for repairs, improvements, and general maintenance to college property;
6. Makes repairs in an efficient and timely manner, with priority on the welfare of students.
Minimum Qualifications
Education: Associate degree, preferred; relevant certifications, required
Work Experience include required number of years documented experience in a comparable/related position: 5 years of relevant experience required
