Hybrid Host/Busser bei The Oceanfront Litchfield Inn

As a Host/Busser you will be the first and last point of contact for our guests, creating a welcoming and positive experience from arrival to departure. You will seat guests, manage the flow of service, and accurately serve food and beverage orders in a timely, friendly manner. This dual-role position requires flexibility, attentiveness, and a passion for exceptional hospitality.

Host/Busser responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Warmly greeting and seating guests as they arrive

• Monitoring waitlists and accurately estimating wait times

• Managing to-go orders in person and over the phone

• Maintaining cleanliness and organization in the lobby and restrooms

• Taking accurate food and beverage orders using the POS system

• Serving guests promptly and courteously

• Performing opening, mid-shift, and closing side work

• Upselling appropriate food and beverage items

• Understanding and complying with beverage service laws and policies

• Effectively handling customer concerns and informing management when necessary

• Assisting with table turnover to ensure efficient guest flow

• Other duties as assigned

• Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality business, team members may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the resort, including weekends and holidays

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• A professional, friendly, and courteous demeanor

• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

• Passion for providing exceptional service to guests and team members

• Proven job reliability, diligence, dedication, and attention to detail

• Teamwork and collaboration

• Must be able to communicate clearly and professionally with guests, coworkers and supervisors

• Willingness to learn and adapt to new responsibilities and procedures
