Hybrid Acct Payable Specialist bei VRC

We’re a growing manufacturing company headquartered in Milwaukee, WI, with five locations across the U.S. As we continue to expand, we’re looking for a Senior Accounts Payable Specialist who can take ownership of our AP process and work cross-functionally with all of our sites.

This is a critical role on our team — ideal for someone who’s highly analytical, detail-oriented, and confident working independently. You’ll be managing day-to-day AP operations and helping ensure accuracy and efficiency across all locations.

What You’ll Do:

• Process vendor invoices and credit memos (both PO & non-PO)
• Manage employee expense reports and company credit card statements
• Communicate directly with vendors to resolve credit holds and inquiries
• Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies
• Track and report on taxable vs. non-taxable purchases
• Maintain monthly and yearly expense tracking spreadsheets
• Perform month-end reconciliations and assist in the month-end close process
• Support internal audits and complete ad-hoc financial projects
• Coordinate with teams at all five U.S. locations to ensure smooth AP operations

What You Bring:

• 5+ years of relevant accounts payable experience
• High school diploma required; additional accounting education a plus
• Strong Microsoft Excel and general Microsoft Office skills
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to analyze financial data
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Self-starter mentality — able to work independently and manage deadlines
• Experience working in a multi-site or multi-entity environment preferred
