The Registered Nurse will assess, plan, perform, document, and evaluate professional independent nursing practice at Lakeview Hospital; to provide work direction for and oversight of the nursing care provided by unlicensed assistive personnel; to perform and document functions such as carrying out the practitioner orders; to assist with diagnostic and treatment procedures; to provide a safe and therapeutic environment; to coordinate, communicate, interpret, and explain patient care services to the patient, their family, health professionals and others; to perform related duties as assigned
Work Schedule: 32 hrs weekly / .8 FTE; Day/Evening Monday-Friday, variable off call weekdays and weekends.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Nursing, Associate Degree in Nursing, or equivalent.
- Licensed as a RN by Minnesota Board of Nursing or has a Wisconsin RN License and Minnesota Boarder State Registry.
- Registered nurses re-entering the nursing field, who have not completed 520 hours of nursing practice in the past four (4) years must successfully complete a recognized refresher course to qualify for employment. Written information of certification validating successful completion of a refresher course must be provided before employment.
- Current BLS from American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
- One year OR RN experience required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Baccalaureate or Master’s degree in Nursing
- Associate Degree prepared nurses enrolled in Baccalaureate in Nursing program
- Specialty Certification in the RN’s area of expertise (e.g. CCRN, PCCN, CNOR, CPAN, CAPA, etc)
