Seasonal Solid Waste Maintenance Worker
Hiring Range: $18.50 per hour
Starting pay for a candidate with a CDL: $19.00 per hour
About the position:
Join our team to support the Solid Waste Program by engaging in the construction and delivery of solid waste and recycling cans, washing, onsite repair and maintenance of cans and dumpsters, and performing general vehicle and equipment maintenance. Additional tasks include conducting solid waste and recycling audits, executing various shop duties, and performing other industry-standard duties as assigned.

What You’ll Do:
- Construct and deliver solid waste and recycling cans.
- Wash and sanitize solid waste and recycling cans.
- Perform onsite repair and maintenance of solid waste cans, recycling cans, and dumpsters.
- Conduct general maintenance and cleaning of vehicles and equipment.
- Execute solid waste and recycling audits.
- Assist in side/rear load operation (CDL required).
- Sort and fill in at the Recycle Facility.
- Load and unload containers using a lift gate.
- Receive and respond to inquiries from the public when delivering or on route.
- Engage in various shop duties and other assigned tasks.
This position is a safety-sensitive position, which means you will be subject to random drug screens due to the nature of the work performed.
What We’re Looking For:
- Must be 18+ years of age.
- Possession or the ability to obtain a valid Colorado Driver's License.
- High school diploma or G.E.D.
- Ability to work in all types of weather, including high temperatures in direct sunlight while standing, walking, and/or kneeling.
- Ability to transition between tasks efficiently.
- A team-oriented approach to work.
- Consistent positive attitude and willingness to complete all types of tasks.
- Understanding and following oral and written instructions and ability to do basic arithmetic.
- Possession of a Class “B” Commercial Driver License (CDL).
