This position is for U if you are a professional, organized, proactive person with strong attention to detail, and are able to work at our Directors Row location, Fort Wayne, IN, full-time, 40hrs/wk, with a schedule of:
Mon-Fri: 8:00am-5:00pm
There can be some flexibility with the daily schedule if needed. This is a hybrid role with requirements to be in office every Monday and Tuesday.
Role
The Mortgage Loan Processor assists in the first mortgage loan process in working the loan file between the origination and closing stages. The mortgage loan processor supports the origination team to provide quality loan files to underwriting for loan approval based on program and investor guidelines.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
20% Reviews incoming documents to assure complete, accurate information and update information on loan origination system (LOS).
20% Receives and follows up on outstanding documentation. Upon receipt of sufficient information to make a loan decision, assembles, updates and analyzes data in a timely manner for loan underwriter review.
20% Orders appraisals, title commitments, flood searches, etc. Prepares verification forms for income, deposits and rent as requested.
20% Submits loan file to underwriting team and clears all conditions until clear to close is received. Communicates with borrower(s) to answer questions on underwriting conditions and overall loan qualification process.
10% Updates loan origination system (LOS) based on loan decision made by underwriter. Communicates decision to all parties and clears all outstanding conditions for loan approval.
10% Prepare and send preliminary closing disclosure to borrower(s).
Must comply with all company policies and procedures, applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control.

Knowledge and Skills
Experience
Has experience with different types of mortgage loans, escrow and ARM requirements.
Education/Certifications/Licenses
High school degree or GED required. Incumbents are required to maintain their registration active, and current, with the National Mortgage Licensing System throughout their employment.
Interpersonal Skills
Courtesy, tact, and diplomacy are essential elements of the job. Work involves personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization, generally regarding routine matters for purposes of giving and obtaining information, as well as advising or referring, which commonly require shorter discussions.

Physical Requirements
Perform primarily sedentary work with limited physical exertion and occasional lifting of up to 10 lbs. Must be capable of climbing/descending stairs in emergency situation. Must be able to operate routine office equipment including telephone, copier, computer terminal and keyboard, facsimile, calculator, and understands computer basics. Must be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day, when necessary. Must be able to work extended hours whenever required or requested by management. Must be capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance.
Working Conditions
Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled private or shared work area with minimal noise. This position has the ability to do work remotely. Must follow remote work agreement.

Must be able to perform job functions independently or with limited supervision and work effectively either on own or as part of a team. Must be able to read and carry out various instructions and follow oral instructions. Must be able to speak clearly and deliver information in a logical and understandable sequence. Must be able to effectively handle multiple, simultaneous, and changing priorities. Must be capable of exercising highest level of discretion on both internal and external confidential matters. Ability to perform non-complex arithmetic calculations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages) to prepare loan files for submission to loan underwriters, normally achieved through a high school education.
