Job Description
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer (COO), this role is responsible for providing strategic leadership and oversight of the successful deployment, integration, and optimization of a comprehensive portfolio of enterprise technology solutions. The Director will align technology initiatives with organizational goals and lead innovation across systems supporting internal operations, member engagement, and digital platforms. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical expertise with exceptional project management and leadership skills to ensure seamless implementation while managing vendor relationships and collaborating across departments. Cross-departmental support is expected of all positions. Extended hours may be required to include nights, weekends, and holidays. The position is located in Colorado Springs.
Summary of Duties and Responsibilities include but are not necessarily limited to:
Strategic Leadership & Innovation
• Provide strategic direction for the enterprise technology portfolio in alignment with USAV's long-term vision and operational goals.
• Serve as a thought leader in emerging technologies relevant to NGB operations, digital transformation, and member experience.
• Lead innovation initiatives, technology pilots, and vendor evaluations to drive continuous improvement.
Technical Implementation and Integration
• Lead the end-to-end implementation of comprehensive enterprise technology solutions, ensuring proper installation, configuration, and customization.
• Develop and implement technology roadmaps for platform evolution and alignment with strategic objectives.
• Oversee operational performance to ensure system reliability, scalability, and security.
• Manage integrations across platforms including configuration of APIs, data connectors, and other tools for interoperability.
• Lead data migration from legacy systems, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
• Analyze system usage and performance metrics to inform optimization efforts.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during deployment and operations.
• Conduct security testing and implement data protection and compliance measures.
• Conduct post-implementation reviews and apply insights to future deployments.
• Lead all aspects of system and operational cost analysis, including financial oversight of vendor contracts and budgeting.
Project Management
• Develop detailed implementation plans with milestones and resource allocations.
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure adequate staffing, hardware, and software support.
• Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders and leadership.
• Identify project risks and lead the development of mitigation strategies.
• Implement process improvements and workflow enhancements across the lifecycle.
Stakeholder Management and Communication
• Serve as the primary point of contact for enterprise solution partners, vendors, and internal teams.
• Maintain clear, consistent communication with stakeholders at all levels.
• Coordinate cross-functional handoffs and collaboration.
• Conduct performance reviews and evaluations with strategic vendors.
• Document supplier capabilities and manage vendor performance records.
• Provide strategic briefings and reports to executive leadership and board committees.
Risk Management and Governance
• Develop and manage risk mitigation strategies across enterprise platforms.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, internal policies, and federal regulations.
• Lead disaster recovery and business continuity planning for all enterprise technology systems.
Training and Change Management
• Oversee the creation and implementation of user training and onboarding programs.
• Create training materials and lead workshops and one-on-one sessions.
• Support users through phased rollouts and pilot testing.
• Champion adoption and ongoing utilization of all enterprise tools.
Marketing Tech Stack Integration
• Partner with the marketing enterprise team to integrate engineering, data, and marketing operations.
• Serve as technical owner of marketing platforms including CDP, ESP, mobile apps, and loyalty tools.
• Configure systems for lifecycle campaigns, personalization, and segmentation.
Data Quality, Governance & Privacy
• Monitor system-wide data quality, accuracy, and consistency.
• Implement validation rules and ensure reliable campaign and system execution.
• Ensure compliance with data privacy laws and SafeSport, COPPA, GDPR, and other applicable frameworks.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Work with internal tech teams and external vendors to troubleshoot, optimize, and deliver integrations.
• Act as the key technical contact for the Audience Engagement & Growth team.
• Scope and prioritize technical projects aligned with enterprise goals.
