Hood Container Corporation (HCC) in Allentown, PA is seeking a dynamic leader to join our team as Production Coordinator.  This position will report to the Production Supervisor

Day in the Life:

• Opening orders for production.
• Creating folders for each project, including all daily paperwork.
• Creating production paperwork for all days of production in advance.
• Creating all systematic forms for new projects.
• Ensuring correct information entered on new project worksheets. In the event of a new worksheet with insufficient or unrelated details attached, adding and removing details to create a coherent project worksheet.
• Prepping orders to be closed, ensuring project is complete and all products are pulled to complete order.
• Reconciling production folders upon completion. 
• Deducting inventory used in Excel within each project. 
• Managing and conducting physical inventories for Sonoco ordered materials.
• Communicating with the clients inbound/outbound team and the clients QA to ensure all shipments/returns are handled properly. 
• Keeping good relationships and communication with Mira Loma planners. Reporting inventory and project completion dates. 
• Issuing and reporting of quality projects and/or rework for the DC.
• Advising QA members, 1^st and 2^nd shift, when necessary.
• Training new employees on correct system operations. 
• Completing weekly sanitation audits for production floor.
• Running daily production reports.
• Performing mock recalls 2x per year.  
• Correcting systematic and paperwork errors as they occur to maintain correct data entry. 
• Assist Plant Manager and Production Supervisor with duties as needed

• High School diploma or G.E.D.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish 
• Possess the skills necessary to perform reading, writing and mathematics to maintain the required production reports and plan balanced workloads.
• General knowledge of MS Excel
• Effectively communicate instructions and requirements.
• Demonstrate initiative and effectiveness in dealing with out-of-the-ordinary situations which may arise in the course of the job.
• Work overtime or odd shifts as necessary to meet production requirements.
• Maintain an exceptional level of attendance and punctuality.
