A Floating Universal Banker requires a very careful adherence to well-defined work where repeatable results are needed. There is little ambiguity in this position. Interacting with customers requires a professional, formal manner where the focus is on completing the task pleasantly and correctly.

We are currently seeking qualified applicants to work as a Floating Universal Banker at our Lubbock and Wolfforth, Texas Banking Centers. This position has steady work but requires schedule and location flexibility.


Job Duties:

  1. Accurate completion of all teller transactions
  2. Ability to travel to all branches
  3. Adaptability to work in numerous locations with different teams
  4. Flexibility to change shifts on short notice
  5. Provide excellent service experience for our customers


Essential Job Functions of New Accounts:

  1. Answer customers' questions and explain available services such as deposit accounts, CDs and IRAs.
  2. Inform customers of procedures for applying for services such as ATM cards, direct deposit of checks and certificates of deposit.
  3. Interview customers in order to obtain information needed for opening accounts or renting safe-deposit boxes (in branches where safe-deposit boxes are available).
  4. Investigate and correct errors upon customers' request, according to customer and bank records.
  5. Refer customers to appropriate bank personnel in order to meet their financial needs.
  6. Accept and process customer address changes.
  7. Key all new accounts and ATM/Debit cards into the system.
  8. Image new accounts paperwork as needed.
  9. Clear all new accounts exceptions.
  10. Ensure all new accounts are submitted and passed through audit process.
  11. Accept both personal and merchant Visa/MasterCard applications.
  12. Assist customers with statements and check copies.
  13. Perform other duties as assigned by management / supervisor.
  14. Comply with federal, state, and company policies, procedures, laws and regulations.
  15. Adhere to all relevant security responsibilities as outlined in the Bank's Information Security Program.
  16. Provides exceptional customer service by positive customer interaction and punctual responses to customer calls and inquiries.
  17. Actively listens to customers’ needs to provide appropriate products and services.
  18. Open accounts and cross sell products and services making referrals as needed to other departments
  19. Maintain thorough knowledge of all ABC products and services.
  20. Participate in Bank at Work programs.
  21. Participate in branch promotions and sales initiatives.
  22. Make customer calls on existing portfolio and new prospects.
