Company Overview:

BioStem Technologies is a leading medical technology company focused on advanced wound care and regenerative medicine. We develop and commercialize placental tissue allografts, cutting-edge wound care products, and surgical solutions aimed at improving patient outcomes. As we continue our rapid growth and expansion, we seek a seasoned SEC Reporting Manager to join our Finance team to oversee the preparation and filing of all external financial reports in compliance with SEC regulations and US GAAP. 

Position Summary:

This role ensures accurate and timely reporting, collaborates with various internal and external stakeholders, and provides technical accounting expertise to support the company’s financial reporting obligations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, has a strong understanding of SEC requirements, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Including but are not limited to the following, other duties may be applied.

SEC Filings:

  • Prepare, review, and file quarterly (10-Q), annual (10-K), and other periodic reports (8-K, registration statements, etc.) with the SEC.
  • Ensure compliance with SEC and US GAAP reporting requirements.
  • Manage the preparation and review of XBRL tagging for filings.


Financial Reporting:

  • Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Ensure all reports are accurate, complete, and filed on time.
  • Technical Accounting:
  • Research and document technical accounting issues and new accounting standards.
  • Provide guidance on complex accounting transactions (e.g., stock-based compensation, revenue recognition, leases, and acquisitions).

Internal Controls:

  • Ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements related to financial reporting.
  • Work with internal and external auditors to support audits and reviews.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams (e.g., FP&A, Treasury , Legal, Investor Relations) to gather information and ensure alignment.
  • Act as a liaison with external auditors and consultants.

Process Improvement:

  • Develop and implement processes to improve the efficiency and accuracy of financial reporting.
  • Stay updated on evolving SEC regulations and accounting standards to ensure compliance.


Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. MBA or professional certification (e.g., CFA, CPA) is highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP, SEC regulations, and XBRL.
  • Proficiency in financial reporting software and ERP systems.
  • Strong understanding of financial statements and financial modeling.
  • Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be highly proficient with financial software applications and have expert level MS Excel skills.
  • Strong leadership and project management abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines. Integrity, credibility, and character with demonstrated moral and ethical behavior.
  • Ability to execute duties with an executive presence with a high degree of maturity and business judgment.
  • A team player with self-confidence, presence, and consultative skills to positively influence the business.
  • An accomplished, results-oriented manager and functional leader with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to build and sustain highly engaging and meaningful relationships.
