Job Summary

Works closely with the all leadership roles, and is responsible for the general day-to-day operations of all F&B /Clubhouse areas. Oversees Beverage Inventory & Programming, Locker Rooms, and Housekeeping. 


Job Tasks (Duties)

1. Exhibits Ansley’s team values towards all employees while overseeing club operations on a daily basis

2. Interacts with members and guests and helps to assure maximum member satisfaction by answering questions, solving problems, overseeing services and cleanliness, and showcasing the club facilities to guests

3. Oversees all club operations on a daily basis and manages all aspects of the clubhouse in the absence of other leadership 

4. Completes and sends out the Clubhouse Schedule to all staff 

5. Manages and revises the Beverage program to include ordering, receiving, and monitoring of product par levels

6. Responsible for hiring, training, retaining and supervising Service Staff for all areas of responsibility to ensure high member expectations are continually executed and exceeded

7. Counsels with other managers and employees about employee grievances and complaints; directs problem correction where possible

8. Receives and resolves complaints from club members, guests and employees

9. Monitors the financial performance of F&B department and directs corrective action procedures as necessary to help assure that budget goals are attained 

10. Assures the efficient and timely submission of all required operational, financial, budgetary, payroll and related reports

11. Participates in on-going facility inspections throughout the club to assure that cleanliness, safety and other standards are consistently attained

12. Focuses on Foodservice Regulations to ensure club is in compliance with Health Department standards

13. Assists the Assistant General Manager in developing/implementing policies and procedures for daily and long term F&B/Clubhouse Operations

14. Plans and coordinates training and professional development programs for himself/herself and direct reports

15. Researches new products and develops an analysis of their costs/benefits

16. Maintains contact with members and helps to assure maximum member satisfaction

17. Attends and proactively participates in management and staff meetings as scheduled

18. Serves as an ad-hoc member of appropriate club committees

19. Undertakes special projects as requested by the Assistant General Manager

20. Other duties as assigned

Requirements

Candidate Qualifications

• Is a passionate leader with strong food and beverage credentials and a proven track record of providing premier -level hospitality services, with a personality that is commensurately appropriate for the Ansley Golf Club culture.

• Is a proven food and beverage leader who can manage their time and establish priorities for which they are accountable. Must possess the ability to traverse the property efficiently to be engaged in all areas of responsibility.

• Has a verifiable track record of successfully leading and growing a dynamic food and beverage program and house operation including building revenues, controlling costs, and meeting or exceeding planned and budgeted bottom line goals and objectives.

• Has an in-depth knowledge of wine, beer, and spirits. Has a thorough knowledge of multi-dimensional à la carte dining services, training, and service standards and processes as well as strong and verifiable skills in developing and growing catering sales and banquets.

• Is a highly motivated individual who is confident in their abilities and yet humble in personality.

• Has a positive attitude and is professional in nature with a high degree of integrity, strong work ethic, and can handle a fast paced, high energy environment and clientele.

• Exhibits a continuous desire to improve and a track record of developing strong and upwardly successful associates and direct reports.

• Is a confident, proactive team builder with a history of attracting, developing, and retaining high performance staff.

• Has a fundamental understanding of what constitutes a “premier club experience” and the proven ability to execute to that level.

• A professional career track record of food and beverage achievement and stability with experience in a high volume, highly respected club, resort or hotel.

• Proven leadership qualities with demonstrated ability to direct, coordinate and manage all facets of a club operation.

• Strong verbal and written communications skills. Comfortable speaking in front of a wide variety of groups including staff and committees. Communication with members, guests, and visibility are highly important attributes of the incoming leader.


Educational Requirements

· A four-year degree in Hospitality Management or related field or an equivalent number of years of experience in a similar position within the industry


Physical Requirements

Frequent walking and standing.

• Occasional bending, stooping, and reaching.

• Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs.

• Must be able to work in an outdoor environment during seasonal functions.


Position Classification and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. The assigned hours to this position vary each week according to scheduled functions but include working on holidays and weekends.
