Position Summary
The Operations Utility Driver supports M.R. Williams Sales, Transportation, and Warehouse operations. The Utility Driver will make last-minute unplanned deliveries that our customers request. The Utility Driver needs to be flexible and willing to travel anywhere within the geographical region that M.R. Williams, Inc. services. When not on the road the Utility Driver will support M.R. Williams Warehouse Operations wherever needed.
Requirements
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Drive between 1 hour – 11 hours per day
- Handle hand truck with 300-400 lbs. on downhill 14 ft ramp
- Deliver all products to customer locations
- Follow safety rules and regulations
- Make deliveries in a timely manner
- Follow check in procedure using a handheld scanner
- Keep a clean driving record
- Operate other pieces of power equipment as required
- Management retains the discretion to add or change duties at any time
Education, Experience and Skills Required
- High School Degree or equivalent
- Ability to be agile with daily tasks, personable, and self-sufficient
- Good Driving Record
- 2 years Driving Experience preferred
- Non-CDL License (CDL Preferred)
- Follow Safety rules and regulations.
Physical Requirements, Working Conditions, and Travel Requirements
- Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds.
- Must be able to push up to 35 pounds.
- Must be able to pull up to 45 pounds.
- Sitting for long periods, general bending and twisting are associated with lifting.
- Travel up to 75% of time.
- Some overnight travel is required within the territory.
