Position Overview and Core Values
The Director of Training and Development serves as a strategic leader responsible for designing, facilitating, and implementing learning content, policies, and development strategies across all levels of Vidalta Residential. This role ensures a consistent culture of growth and continuous improvement within the organization by enhancing team member productivity through comprehensive onboarding, proactively assessing company-wide development needs, and spearheading innovative training initiatives to cultivate top talent and drive overall business success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and delivery of property management training initiatives that directly align with and propel the company's strategic growth objectives.
- Partner with leaders and team members to establish and sustain a positive, inclusive work environment that maximizes diverse talents.
- Plan, organize, and direct innovative training and development programs.
- Design programs to significantly increase individual and organizational performance, boost employee morale, and enhance core skills across all levels.
- Create, modify, and continuously update engaging course materials, training manuals, and learning resources.
- Ensure all content meets specific training needs and adheres to the business's overall goals and objectives, maintaining a consistent format for all policies, rules, and standards.
- Present dynamic in-person and online training sessions, effectively communicating complex information to onsite teams, regional leadership, and executive board members.
- Provide surveys, measurements, and evaluations in order to assess team members' development needs.
- Proactively target and deliver the most relevant learning solutions to enhance knowledge, skills, and abilities in operations and leadership.
- Maintain and update all standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure they are current, effective, and fully optimized for maximizing team member performance across the entire portfolio.
- Maintain a strong awareness of all relevant laws and agency regulations, including Fair Housing, sexual harassment, disability accommodations, and landlord-tenant relationships, ensuring all training content and company policies remain fully compliant.

Requirements
Experience and Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Minimum 5 years in multifamily, with specific training and development experience.
- Exceptional instructional design and content development skills
- Experience overseeing training and development on a national scale.
- Ability to travel within the assigned territory - up to 20%.
- Exceptional scheduling and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of Fair Housing laws
- Experience with training best practices, skills assessment methodologies, processes, and training curriculum design desired.
- Must have experience in multifamily property management.
