        Job Description Position: Engineer Intern Reports: Project Engineer Location: Glendale Plant Job Overview: The Engineer Intern will assist the Project engineer with oversight of planning and coordinating technical engineering initiatives to make sure they can complete a project within their budget and according to schedule. This role includes upholding project standards by researching compliance regulations, developing project implementation plans and adjusting specifications for elements of a project. Duties/Responsibilities: • Assist Project Engineer with design and build out of project. • Assist in selecting process equipment, vendors, and subcontractors to meet project requirements. • Help enforce standards established by Project Engineer. • Perform clerical duties like PO creation and receipt of items for plant construction. • Work as part of team in a team oriented environment. • Working with hands using tools, able to pick up and carry a 50 lb bag • Capable of working in the Az heat, and in a dirty environment. • Capable of wearing PPE. • Help with inventory control of parts and hardware • Promote safety through proper design of processes and equipment selection • Follow safety protocols and practices while working in the plant. • Help Project manager with project budgets to ensure cost efficiency. • Ensure projects are completed on schedule. • Assist with special projects and other tasks as assigned. Required Skills/Abilities: • Ability to oversee and manage projects from design to completion • Strong communication and leadership skills • Ability to work effectively within teams • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat • Proficient in AutoCAD Education and Experience: • Degree in Engineering or enrolled in an engineering college, at least 2 years completed. • Experience in engineering, maintenance, and/or construction a plus. • General construction knowledge (preferred). • Experience in chemical industry (preferred).
