Universal Industrial Sales is a locally owned and operated Industrial Steel Fabrication, and Manufacturing company specializing in highway sign structures, bridge rail and guardrail. Universal has around 200 professionals and highly skilled production personnel who are dedicated to fulfilling the company’s mission and purpose. Universal has over 600,000 square feet of state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities on more than 40 acres of real property in Lindon, Utah. Universal has consistent revenue and customer growth since its founding in 1978, as a one-man welding operation.
We are seeking an energetic person with strong work ethic, motivated to learn new things, a self-starter, and good at taking initiative to solve problems and immediately make valuable contributions to our sales and project management team.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Exceptional organizational skills
- Advance computer skills are required (Word, Excel, Email)
- Construction or Project Management experience required
- Outstanding problem solving and analytical skills
- Proven track record of being reliable and dependable
- Lives for creating and completing checklists
- High School Diploma
- Valid Driver License
- Ability to work 40 + hours per week
- Ability to work overtime when needed
- Ability to type proficiently
- Ability to work a consistent weekly schedule of M-F 8am-5pm
- Ability to work independently and be a self-starter
- Ability to prioritize and multitask and work well under pressure to meet deadlines
- Strong attention to detail
Salary (Hourly)
$22.95 - $25.32
Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Learn and execute day-to-day tasks as assigned as it relates to our sales projects and project management systems.
- Leverage your strong organizational skills to stay ahead of assigned tasks and ensuring that we meet our tight deadlines.
- Problem-solving and following up continuously with ongoing projects to ensure we are maintaining production schedules and delivery times.
- Tasks include;
- Support and expand relationships with current customers
- Identify and build relationships with new customers
- Sales trips to see customers in the western region of the United States
- Learn the product and the specifics to your territories
- Bid Letting (find projects to quote)
- Prepare Project Specific Quotes
- Process Orders
- Track order through production
- Manage Shipping & Logistics for your projects
- Review of Material Test Reports & Data Entry
Other responsibilities as assigned.
