Torbay Council is seeking a dedicated and hands-on Beach and Resorts Officer to help deliver a high-quality experience across our stunning beaches and promenades. This varied role involves supporting beach hut and chalet operations, carrying out maintenance and inspections, and ensuring our seafront remains safe, clean, and welcoming for all.

Skills
- Ability to demonstrate a high level of customer care using effective communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively on own initiative without close supervision to achieve successful completion of duties.
- Ability to demonstrate a flexible approach to working hours – candidate will be required to work weekends and Bank Holidays and possible extended summer working hours.
- Able to work effectively as part of a team.
- Ability to deal with conflict situations with tact and diplomacy when required.
Knowledge
- A good knowledge of DIY and general maintenance.
- Experience of carpentry and use of handheld power tools.
Experience & Qualifications
- Experience of working within a team.
- Experience of working with the general public.
- Current full driving licence.
