Wood is recruiting a core LOLER AP to join the ENI Douglas on a 2*2 rotation mobilising from Blackpool.
Responsibilities
Basic Purpose of Job:
• To carry out Lifting Operations on site in accordance with the Client’s Standard for Lifting Operations
Health, Safety and Environmental Responsibilities:
• Ensure all work is conducted in full compliance with the Client’s HS&E policy, procedures and Safety Management System
• Comply with all relevant Wood HS&E policies and procedures where appropriate
• Actively participate and support all Client and Wood Health, Safety & Environmental plans, initiatives and improvements
• Carry out all activities in accordance with ISSOW including the following:
o Comprehensive and detailed Risk Assessments and Toolbox Talks
o Stop and re-asses any job where change is identified
o Work preparation
• Report all accidents and incidents
• Carry out Emergency Response duties in accordance with Client’s requirements
Main Duties:
• Accountable to ensure all hoisting and lifting activities are carried out to the agreed LOLER Scheme of Compliance.
• To review and approve all lifting operations, lifting plans and risk assessments.
• Responsible for ensuring all personnel involved in lifting operations meet the minimum competence standards.
• Carry out audits on lifting operations to ensure compliance.
• Liaise with Onshore Support and appropriate offshore departments for effective planning of Lifting Operations ensuring approvals in place where required.
• Accountable for the management of rigging loft, hoisting and lifting equipment and certification control.
• Responsible to ensure all activities prioritised by supervisor are carried out as per instruction
• Provide and approve all lift plans and provide adequate supervision when required
• Assist 3rd Party contractors complete their thorough examination of hoisting and lifting equipment.
• Carry out regular rigging worksite visits to monitor and promote productive and safe working practices.
• Accountable for maintaining an end of trip written handover as per agreed format
• Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation and be able to apply it in the workplace
• Support daily and weekly planning process as required
• When applicable, carry-out a sufficient handover to delegated Nightshift Loler Supervisor
• Responsible for ensuring platform rigging assessments carried as per competency framework
• Carry out emergency response duties where necessary
• Accountable for relevant safety critical activities as detailed in the Activity Catalogue.

• Diploma in Moving Engineering Construction Loads at SCQF Level 6 (acceptable equivalent is Diploma in Engineering Construction Lifting, Positioning and Installing Structures, Plant and Equipment RQF Level 3) and / or ECITB Appointed Person Moving Loads / OPITO LOLER Competent Person
