About the Opportunity

She/He will be the responsible of accountant and Tax of all entities South Africa

In addition to the functional responsibilities of the role, as a South Africa Finance Controller /Manager you will are responsible for the employee lifecycle, including:

• Leading and developing the local finance team, responsible for all financial transactions, compliance and analysis.
• Ensuring the delivery of monthly, quarterly and yearly results and supporting information in line with the corporate timetable.
• Leading local audits, statutory filings and tax requirements.
• Responsible for the enforcement of and implementation of local internal controls and compliance
• Assure the cash position and forecast.
• Liaise with EMEA colleagues on financial accounting, cash management, compliance and tax

Active involvement in ad hoc reporting and European/global projects, such as global ERP implementation.

Candidate Profile

The South Africa Finance Controller / Manager is responsible for

• the accurate and timely recording, reconciliation and analysis of the financials according to local GAAP as well and US GAAP
• establish and maintain accounting processes and manuals, in close cooperation with internal and external stakeholders
• compliance with statutory and local legislation and reporting
• tax compliance for the different legal entities (2legal entities)
• consolidation and financial reporting
• 1st point of contact with local banks, audit partner, growers, customers and 3rd party relations on financial matters
• participate in local and global improvement projects or projects to support business development
• support in the budgeting and forecasting process
