About the Role
Sportable is searching for a recruitment lead, to drive our internal hiring efforts and support our continued growth. This role is critical in ensuring we scale our business units efficiently and sustainably—without compromising on product excellence or client success.
They will collaborate with Hardware, Software, Manufacturing, Product, Client Delivery and Commercial teams, to design and execute tailored recruitment strategies that align with our company’s goals.
The ideal candidate will bring expertise in talent acquisition, candidate sourcing and recruitment best practices. We’re looking for someone proactive, personable and passionate about connecting great talent with meaningful opportunities. Someone who can confidently articulate Sportable’s vision and values to inspire top candidates.
Responsibilities – (The role will involve, but not be limited to):
- Collaborate with hiring managers to understand recruitment needs and develop job descriptions that attract suitable candidates.
- Utilize various channels to source candidates, including job boards, social media, networking events and employee referrals.
- Conduct thorough screening and interviewing of candidates to assess their qualifications and fit within the company culture.
- Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, including job postings, applicant tracking, interview scheduling and candidate feedback.
- Build and maintain a talent pipeline for current and future hiring needs.
- Develop and implement innovative recruitment strategies to enhance the company’s visibility and attractiveness to prospective employees.
- Provide guidance and support to hiring managers on best practices for interviewing and selection processes.
- Ensure positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment process.
- Stay updated on industry trends and market conditions to inform recruitment strategies.
Required skills / Experience:
- University level degree
- Minimum 5 years’ experience at a fast growth technology company or multinational company.
- Experience in recruitment in global markets, with particular additional focus on the UK, USA and Australia.
- Experience hiring technology roles.
- Strong understanding of the local talent market, recruitment practices and employment legislation in South Africa.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
- Experience in using applicant tracking systems and other recruitment software.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast paced environment.

Our office is located at Brookside Office Park, 11 Imam Haron Road, Claremont, Cape Town 7708. The role is hybrid and will require you to be at the office regularly as agreed with your line manager.
