About The Role
You will be reporting to the Site Asset Manager providing support to engineering and project activities, design, planning, documentation, and innovation.
You'll enhance your skills in project management, particularly in the organized and structured design, engineering, and execution of capital expenditure (CAPEX) projects. Additionally, you will learn how to prepare essential documents and reports that are critical for project tracking and compliance.
This internship will offer the student hands-on experience in construction management, which will enhance your understanding of the various phases involved in executing projects efficiently and effectively.
How Will You Do It
- Participate in and provide support for troubleshooting, projects, design, and planning.
- Assist engineers with documentation tasks such as updating equipment lists, maintaining the document index, managing drawings, consolidating shutdown reports, and preparing monthly reports and risk assessment reviews.
- Aid engineers in the upkeep of SAP reports, inventory controls, and fixed asset management.
- Support business cases, design, and project work for plant improvements and CAPEX projects.
- Prepare training materials for contractor and maintenance team training sessions.
- Assist with purchasing processes, including purchase requisitions, bid specifications, and technical bid evaluations.
- Contribute to the development of digital tools for workflow enhancement.
What We Look For
- Committed to full-time internship from August 2025.
- Students of Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical Engineering or any relevant engineering disciplines.
- Keen interest to work on design, engineering and execution of CAPEX projects.
- Organized and structured in preparing documentation and reports.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint & Excel)
- Good communication skills and self-driven to initiate and complete projects and tasks.
- Able to work at Jurong Island Site/Plant throughout the duration of the internship (company bus provided)
