Job Purpose
Provide in-depth analysis services and suggest strategies to key partners and stakeholders in meeting business goals. The role holder will be the bridge between Business, PMO and Technology in translating business expectations into workable solutions to be delivered by Project and Technology Teams.
Key Responsibilities
• Work with Project Portfolio manager to review project requests to the PMO and provide recommendations on the prioritization of same.
• Lead the identification, articulation and documentation of ideas and viewpoints into feasible solutions through collaboration with Business teams and Executives, Project Change Management Teams, Strategy Department and other relevant stakeholders.
• Acts as a bridge between the business and the technical teams, translating business needs into functional specifications, and providing guidance and support to the developers and testers.
• Elicit and clearly document business and systems requirements by assessing business processes, identifying gaps and offering solutions.
• Review and validate business requirements and functional specifications to ensure they meet quality standards and align with project objectives. Collaborate with stakeholders to clarify requirements and resolve any ambiguities or inconsistencies.
• Provide project level analysis – producing required project analysis documentation (business requirements, scope matrix, use cases, sequence diagrams, future state proposals, UAT plan working with Business and Technology) by engaging and communicating with Project Stakeholders.
• Define, detail, and finalize the project scope by aligning the vendor's scope of work with the business requirements.
• Lead or participate in multiple projects by completing and updating project documentation (assist business teams in formulating business cases, development and provision of elicitation reports) and managing project scope through the provision of detailed and clear-cut requirement documents as per agreed timelines.
• Coordinate with the testing and Version team to ensure thorough testing and validation of system functionalities in adherence with defined quality standards.
• Identify, create and facilitate process design changes by conducting business and systems process analysis and design at a complex level
• Collaborate closely with the Change management team to provide cost benefit analysis and increase adoption and customer satisfaction.
• Create and maintain dashboard to report performance metrics for the PMO.
Stakeholders and Risk management
• Identify and engage stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and document business needs, goals, and expectations.
• Bridge the gap between technical teams and business stakeholders by ensuring clear and aligned understanding of requirements.
Documentation and Reports
• Create detailed Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), Functional Requirements Specifications (FRS), and User Stories.
• Ensure that requirements are clear, traceable, testable, and aligned with business goals.
• Create data-driven reports to support decision-making e.g., cost-benefit analysis, feasibility studies, and performance tracking.
• Provide insights to project sponsors and PMO based on gathered data and analysis.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required
• A Minimum of a first degree in Technology, Business Administration or related course.
• A Masters’ Degree will be an added advantage
• Professional Certification in PRINCE 2 Project Management Methodology/ PMP is a plus
• Agile Certification is a plus
• Business Analysis certification required.
• A minimum of five (5) years of experience in provision of Business Analysis on complex, large scale projects
