Responsibilities
We are looking to hire a Project Manager (m/f/d) to join our Spain Team in Barcelona who will be assigned to work on one or more projects. They will report to the Project Director, providing leadership and oversight for all aspects of day-to-day management of the project for which they are responsible.
The ideal candidate would demonstrate the ability and enthusiasm to manage complex projects in areas of Living, Offices, Urban Development or Hospitality.
The individual would contribute towards project delivery, help with managing stakeholders (local or international), take responsibility for their actions, and contribute towards the evolution of our business.
Responsibilities:
· Support the Project Director with development of the project execution strategy.
· Collaborate with the team throughout various phases of the project lifecycle to deliver the program/rollout within the defined constraints of scope, time & cost.
· Coordinate project stakeholders, liase between the project, the client teams and public organisms
· Tender and award the consultant team.
· Review architectural and engineering outputs for quality, completeness and compliance with the project brief.
· Manage changes to the project brief.
· Manage tender and award of the contractor team
· Review contractor works for quality and compliance with the contract agreements and manage cost controls system for budget, cost, contract, change and risk.
· Develop and maintain project management time schedule.
· Write progress reports and present to client team
Qualifications
· Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Quantity Surveyor or equivalent academic or work experience.
· Minimum 10 years of experience in a Project Management role.
· Experience of working with international clients.
· Business fluent in both written and verbal Spanish and English - addittional knowledge of Catalan is of advantage.
· Strong management, LEAN planning and organisational skills are essential.
· Ability to work independently and as a team
· Ability to work with collaborative skills to ensure the good performance of different teams.
· Proactive and confident leading meetings & liaising with Technical Teams, Contractors and Public Sector representatives.
· Able to work under pressure and tight deadlines.
· Experience within the construction industry, pro-active, solutions oriented mindset, and an aptitude for leadership
· Good understanding of tendering processes and value engineering and cost management
· A desire to ‘make a difference’ and is motivated by the challenge/opportunity that Hill represents
· Experience in projects with BIM environment
