N3O - NewSpace Earth Observation Orbital Objects - was born to build sustainable satellite manufacturing and integration capabilities focused on the needs of a growing market segment, that reinforces the Portuguese space sector position in the European space market. As the key Portuguese Integrator for small satellites, N3O manages the complexity associated with the development and deployment of Earth Observation systems, delivering turnkey products.

Currently, N3O is spearheading the development of the Iberian initiative ”Atlantic Constellation” in partnership with CEiiA.

 

Job Description:
  • Prepare electrical and functional integration procedures (and scripts) for satellite verification (subsystem and system level), following test plans.
  • Perform the step by step procedure (either in ISO5, ISO7 cleanroom or laboratory) and generate a report for the activity. Also, support failure investigations.
  • Set up and organize materials, equipment, and tools required for various in-house functional and environmental tests, including vibration and thermal tests, ensuring readiness and compliance with test standards.
  • Prepare technical meetings and contribute to adherence to configuration management processes.
  • Support the identification, design, manufacturing and procurement of EGSEs, test utilities and any type of harness. Maintain and calibrate EGSE and other electrical equipment in cleanroom.
  • Follow and support the standard tools and processes established in the frame of Assembly, Integration and Test.
  • Support the creation of regular reports.
  • Support the identification and procurement of AIT related equipment.
  • Prepare and conduct simulations and analyze system functionalities.
  • Perform functional, performance, and interface requirement analysis for the space system.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Telecommunications, Electronics, Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Experience with electrical and power systems at design or workshop level.
  • It is an added value the expertise on space missions and the equipment used within them (platform and instrument/payload).
  • Proactive approach to develop knowledge within electrical systems and spacecraft functional operations.
  • EGSEs operational knowledge would be considered an advantage (i.e. Checkout Systems, RF SCOE, TMTC FE, GNSS Sim, Star Tracker Sim).
  • Ability to understand analog (video and RF) and digital interface electronics.
  • Familiarity with using design software tools (for power simulation, link-list budgeting, wiring/harness design, etc.) and non-conformance communication systems, RFDs/RFWs.
  • Experience with Matlab, Python, or equivalent.
  • Strong command of the English language (C1). Portuguese is an added value.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and manage oneself with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work in multidisciplinary and multi-disciplinary environments.
  • High standards, rigor, and critical thinking.
  • Proactive attitude.
