Lotus Bakeries Spain is hiring a National Account Manager retail, within our Retail Sales team in Las Rozas de Madrid, our Headquarter for Spain & Portugal.
Within the Sales Office Spain you will be responsible for driving the development of a multi-category business with a mix of national and leading regional customers. You will be active in the categories of Biscuits, Waffles (Bollería), Sweet Spreads, Ice Cream, Bars (with nākd, TREK), Kids nutrition (Kiddylicious and BEAR). In all these categories Lotus Bakeries has concepts with a big growth potential. Overall the main focus is on our international flagship brand Lotus Biscoff, which is active in Biscuits, Sweet Spreads and Ice Cream.
The National KAM will (together with the Sales Manager Retail) focus on delivering the overall objectives regarding volumes and customer contribution for SOF Spain, by managing independently his/her own set of national and regional customers, who are active cross-channel (convenience, supers, hypers, online). The KAM acts as the main sparring partner for the Sales Manager Retail in defining the best channel strategies inside the overall Retail channel.We have been growing our Retail presence a lot in the past years, reflected in a steadily growing household penetration, being Biscoff the number 2 cookie in HH penetration snacking brands. Also being the number 2 brand bar in the market with nākd. and the 3rd one in Spread with Biscoff. The KAM focuses heavily on acquiring customer insights and building customer understanding, aiming to build frequent and constructive interaction with his assigned contact persons, in order to cease every opportunity to increase listings and in-store confrontation for the company´s portfolio in his/her customers stores, all in accordance with company category strategies. The KAM will work actively together with the own and external sales representatives, to maximize brand conversion through strong in-store confrontation in all outlets of his customers.
Participate in the integrated commercial planning process through development of annual Customer Plans that support Brand and Channel Plans. In active cooperation with our Category Development Team. Manage the customer Decision Making Unit at all levels and develop relationships with several (commercial and non-commercial) contact persons, that enable the account plan achievement. Prepare and deliver effective selling presentations that implement our Customer Business Plans.
Develop timely and accurate forecasts (on volumes and spendings) for assigned accounts and revise throughout the year. Negotiation of pricing, assortment and promotions with the aim of maximizing sustainable sales & profit, operating within Lotus commercial guidelines. Analysis of sales figures and monitoring of promotional activities to drive category insights. Leading and inspiring the Field Force team for the customers he/she is managing.
We are looking for a Sales Talent, with proven experience in regional Key Account Management, and clear potential to further develop in skills and competencies. We aim to recruit for a commercial career inside our Group, inside or outside Spain. Key characteristics:
- Bachelor or Master Degree (Marketing, Commercial, Economics,….)
- 4 years of relevant experience in key account management within FMCG.
- Knowledge of LIDL, ALDI, Carrefour, DIA are a plus.
- Team player with passion for building brands.
- Fluent in Spanish and English.
- Solid knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint.
- High stress tolerance, able to manage multiple tasks in parallel (given we are small team)
- Driving results (going the extra mile to get things done).
- Strong analytical skills and financial understanding.
- Understanding the quote ”Retail = Detail”, meaning that excellent execution is key.
- Strategic Influencing, both internally and externally, to drive growth of customers assigned.
