EFI is seeking a Global HSE Manager based in our production plant in Almazora, Castellón, Spain

Job Description:

The Senior Environmental, Health and Safety Manager/Sr Manager is responsible for HSE global team and the definition and execution of the HSE strategy for the company The Senior Environmental, Health and Safety Manager/Sr Manager Engineer is responsible for implementing environmental health and safety policies on behalf of EFI Organization. The Senior Environmental, Health and Safety Engineer Manager/Sr Manager is in charge of following all company procedures and meet all legal requirements for environmental health and safety standards. . Another important activity is the analysis of existing and planned products, processes, equipment, and facilities to prevent injuries, property loss and impact on environment.

     Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• Definition and execution of the HSE strategy for the company
• Management of the global HSE team
• Ensure regular monitoring of compliance with the laws on health, safety at work and environmental protection;
• Ensure the continuous improvement of the management of health, safety and environment in the company;
• Ensure the production and wide dissemination of all information and documentation necessary for the respect of the legislation on health, safety and environment;
• Spreading the corporate values and culture of safety at all company levels;
• Check and / or preparation of the documentation required to comply with rules on health and safety at work and environmental protection;
• Drafting of risk assessment documents, emergency and evacuation plans for the companies of the group and its assigned responsibilities;
• Constant updating of documentation required under the laws on health, safety and the environment by ensuring all necessary regulatory requirements;
• Identification of prevention and protection measures needed;
• Audits on shop floor to assess their appropriateness within the meaning of securities laws and the environment and to ensure that the behavior of the employees are in compliance with applicable regulations and company procedures;
• Organization of the entire training in health, safety and environmental prevention and for the employees of all Group companies;
• Collaboration with external consultants for the organization of training, and managing not be possible internally practices / investigations;
• Identification of potential non-compliance, and management of the elimination or reduction of identified NC;
• Organize the mandatory courses for the employees;
• Relationship with the competent doctor for the organization and monitoring of the regularity of medical examinations and for all medical and health-related issues related to the workplace;
• Verification of conformity, at the design stage of the stores newly opened or new business premises;
• Collaboration with the competent authorities for the management of insurance practices for claims relating to incidents and accidents that have occurred at plants and headquarters;
• Definition of KPIs for the function
• Periodic inspection and analysis of representative indicators (KPI´s), such as accidents, accidents at work, absenteeism for all companies;
• Development of procedures / manuals for the improvement of health and safety at work and environmental protection;
• Provide support to the foreign countries in the monitoring of compliance with local laws on health, safety and environment, identifying common practices and procedures;
• Drafting of reports for company management audit of the management of health, safety and environment for the group companies, periodically reporting to the situation of education-related information, regulatory compliance, of NC, indicators;
• Implement ergonomic analysis in the work operations that requires it.
• Maintaining relations with the relevant official bodies.
• Management of the 3^rd party HSE companies relations supporting EFI
• Collaboration and involvement in the required ESG actions related to HSE

Job Requirements:

• Engineer or other bachelor degree with Master in “Prevención en Riesgos Laborales” is mandatory. Any other course related with Ergonomics, Safety, and health is desirable.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a similar industry and global environment is mandatory.
• Knowledge of the HSE regulations affecting Spain is mandatory, experience with Italy, UK, Israel, Turkey, US is very valuable
• Microsoft Office proficient.
• Experience working in chemical plants with toxic components is valuable
• Ability to communicate and implement complex topics in cross-functional as well as cross-cultural environments is mandatory
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, including experience leading teams and preparing & presenting problem-solving documents.
• Fluent in Spanish and English.
