Essential Job Assist 

• Assist in checking and organizing the documentation required for import and export processes (invoices, packing lists, bill of lading, Import License (LI), Import Declaration (DI), Single Import Declaration (DUIMP), etc.);
• Support communication with customs brokers, freight forwarders, carriers, and bonded terminals;
• Monitor processes through systems (Siscomex, Single Window Portal) and control spreadsheets;
• Assist in verifying tariff classification (NCM) and import requirements for goods;
• Track cargo clearance and keep internal reports updated with the status of each process;
• Help manage deadlines to avoid extra costs (demurrage, storage);
• Comply with the company’s internal procedures and foreign trade compliance regulations;
• Issue LPCOs (licenses/permits with consenting agencies).

Other Skills & Abilities

• Basic knowledge of customs clearance and customs legislation;
• Understanding of import/export documents;
• Knowledge of systems such as Siscomex, DUIMP, or the Single Window Portal will be considered an asset;
• Basic/intermediate English (desirable).

Educatiion & Experience

Minimum 3 years’ experience in customs brokerage.
