The Opportunity:
We are seeking a skilled massage therapist with outstanding communication and patient management skills. This is a unique opportunity for professional growth and to practice within a multidisciplinary clinical environment.
The successful applicant will have the opportunity to work alongside a complete spectrum of musculoskeletal and medical health professionals. Medcan offers a full suite of sports rehabilitation providers which includes: physicians, orthopedic surgeons, a physiatrist, physiotherapists, chiropodists, chiropractors and other massage therapists.
This is a part-time position for an Independent Contractor working 2-3 half-days per week in the clinic during business Monday - Saturday (7am - 7pm). Shift times can be flexible.
Our Oakville clinic is conveniently located at 2275 Upper Middle Rd. E. bordering Mississauga. There is also free parking at the clinic.
What You'll Do:
The provision of clinical massage therapy services
Maintain complete and detailed clinical documentation and records
Practice effective and timely inter-professional communication
Ensure the highest quality of patient management and care
The successful applicant will be required to work and learn within a fast paced and client focused organization, maintain confidentiality in handling patient sensitive information, and exercise sound decision making abilities.
What You'll Need:
Minimum of one year of clinical experience as a licensed Registered Massage Therapist
Must be a member in good standing of the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario
Must have appropriate professional liability insurance
Must possess above average competency in multiple massage techniques; including but not limited to, Swedish massage, facial therapy, and trigger point therapy
