Test Automation Engineer - Munich Based
What you will do
- Develop cutting-edge tools in Bragi's proprietary development and test environment
- Contribute to extending Bragi's product line, test systems, tools, methods, and DevOps processes
- Design and write test scripts to automate testing the firmware of hardware devices — including automated firmware flashing, sending commands, Bluetooth connections, and mobile device interactions
- Work directly with audio products (e.g., headphones, TWS earbuds) in our automated audio lab and Hardware-In-the-Loop (HIL) environments to ensure product performance and reliability
- Write new tests to increase scope and coverage for automated and hardware-integrated testing
- Execute tests (automated, exploratory, manual) and support ongoing improvements in test quality and efficiency
- Analyze test results, generate reports, and collaborate closely with development teams to resolve and re-test issues
- Monitor and maintain Bragi’s proprietary test infrastructure and solve hardware/software-related problems in a timely manner
- Develop, maintain, and document test specifications in Qase
What you will need
- 3+ years experience as a software test engineer
- Solid knowledge of Python and object oriented programming
- Experience in using a version control system (e.g. Git and Gitlab)
- Technical expertise in test automation in one or more test frameworks
- Team player who takes initiative, is tenacious, shows ownership and is decisive
- Proactive working-style and thrive to drive projects and make them happen
- Familiarity with Scrum practices
Nice to have:
- Knowledge of Robot framework
- Familiarity with bash, batch scripting
- Background in Audio industry
- Passion for the latest trends in software testing
- Relevant test-related training (e.g., ISTQB Advanced)
