About Upway:
We’re looking for a Spare Parts Specialist who thrives at the intersection of operations, analytics, and inventory management. As part of our local operations team, you’ll play a key role in ensuring that our operations run smoothly on the day-to-day operations as well as manage projects related with enhanced accuracy on inventory management and efficiencies on the processes we currently run. This is a role for someone who has a management and analytical background, who enjoys solving problems and who wants to have a direct impact on operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory records, track incoming parts, and conduct regular stock checks to ensure optimal levels.
- Operational Efficiency: Streamline the delivery of spare parts to mechanics, reducing downtime and maximizing productivity.
- Procurement & Supplier Relations: Manage the full cycle of spare parts orders, including placing orders, following up with suppliers, tracking shipments and track budget spend.
- Data & Process Improvement: Utilize daily analytics tools (Excel, inventory systems, Metabase, Query Builder) to identify stock needs, improve procurement strategies, and enhance inventory management.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Act as a key point of contact between mechanics, the warehouse team, suppliers, and the senior management team ensuring clear communication and alignment.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- You have an interest or passion about electric mobility industry
- You have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field, or you have worked previously in a similar field.
- You’re organized and detail oriented,with the ability to manage multiple tasks, while keeping a strong focus on efficiency and process improvement.
- You’re highly data-driven, ideally worked in analytical roles previously, and comfortable using spreadsheets, dashboards, and KPIs to make informed decisions and optimize inventory flow
- You have a natural sense of ownership and accountability—you spot inefficiencies, propose improvements, and take initiative without waiting to be asked.
- You have a structured approach to problem-solving, balancing short-term priorities with long-term process improvements.
- You’re an excellent communicator and collaborator, confident interacting with both technical teams (mechanics, warehouse staff) and external partners (suppliers).
- Proficient in English (German is a plus), with strong communication skills—verbal and written.
