Position Summary:
The Senior Transactional Liability Underwriter is responsible for underwriting complex transactions, identifying growth opportunities, proposing initiatives for risk mitigation, and ensuring accurate entries in connection with M&A transactions. The role monitors regulatory changes and cultivates a collaborative environment by providing guidance to underwriters. They provide actionable insights to senior management, implement quality assurance measures, and navigate complex legal landscapes by leveraging understanding of warranties & indemnity, tax & contingence insurance.Location:

Job responsibilities
- Underwriting of new prospects as well managing renewals of financial lines insurances (comprising of either D&O, Financial Institutions, (professional) liability, Crime and Cyber or a combination thereof)
- Taking responsibility of the management, development and growth of a subsegment within the RFL book
- Monitors regulatory changes, market shifts and other trends which are relevant for (segment within) RFL, either from (new) business or risk perspective
- Expert sparring partner for brokers and clients on (sub) segments within RFL value propositions
- Ensures proper and timely entries in underwriting systems to track exposures, analyzes trends, and supports in the implementation of RFL underwriting strategy.
- Create and/or maintain long-term business relationships with the relevant broker community and markets
- Cultivates a collaborative and efficient underwriting environment, provides expert guidance, coaching, and development opportunities to junior underwriters.
Qualifications
- Demonstrable underwriting experience in one or more of the aforesaid lines of business
- Master degree (preferred) or Bachelor+ degree in (insurance) law, finance, risk-management or other relevant field
- In-depth knowledge of one or more lines of business within the RFL segment
- Ability to further expand footprint within the broking community in the DACH region (and preferably EE) based upon existing relationships
