Our Eglinton Crosstown West Extension (ECWE) Office is seeking a Project Manager to support all activities associated with Systems Integration such as directing and leading the TA (Technical Advisor), collaborating as part of Integrated Project Delivery Team (IPTD) on a progressive design build project, manage successful delivery of Systems Integration, coordinating with Contractors and support the design and construction activities through all stages and phases of the Project. As a Project Manager, provide comprehensive project management services associated with the delivery of the Eglinton Crosstown West Extension Program.

What will I be doing?
- Manage the efficient delivery of Project Agreement, ensuring that System Integration approach is applied for all the levels in the Systems hierarchy and Systems Engineering, from the Project design stages, construction, testing and commissioning, operational readiness to revenue services and assets handover to Metrolinx.
- Maintain and manage relationships with External Stakeholders, facilitating coordination of requirements, reviews, approvals and resolving technical issues, ensuring a safe and successful integration of the systems for the Project.
- As a member of the Integrated Project Delivery Team (IPTD), manage all interface and integration activities for systems on ECWE project.
- Ensure that the system interface issues are managed, with a specific focus on interfacing with business stream leaders, project teams, internal and external stakeholders. Collaborate with Stakeholders to prioritize and escalate issues when required.
- Contribute to management and assessment of Systems Interface Control Works Submittals such as Interface Definition Documents (IDDs) and Interface Control Documents (ICDs) with a focus on comprehensiveness and accuracy.
- Coordinate and manage issues pertaining to technical system interfaces between various engineering disciplines of the project design and construction teams.
- Ensure system engineering processes and principles are being implemented in system deliverables.
- Oversee Systems Integration activities to ensure adherence to sound project management, construction practices while adhering to best industry practices such as the International Council on Systems Engineering (INCOSE).
- Monitor objectives related to System Engineering and Systems Integration, design review, technical specifications, document control, budget and work breakdown structures and Project schedules
- Oversees the implementation of contractual and derived requirements by the Contractor, ensuring compliance with Systems Engineering processes. This includes overseeing the implementation of System Engineering and Systems Integration Management Plans, processes, and deliverables.
- Support the Project Delivery Team in managing internal and external Stakeholders, ensuring that Stakeholder requirements for integration are incorporated using Systems Engineering Processes and in accordance with Good Industry Practice and Applicable Laws.
- Collaborate with other disciplines within the Project Delivery Team to establish a comprehensive Systems Engineering integration approach, enabling the successful commissioning of Systems in conjunction with non-Systems infrastructure elements.
- Evaluate project progress and compliance with Project Agreement requirements, identifying any deficiencies and opportunities for improvement, and provide recommendations for solutions.
- Support the Project Delivery Team by contributing to Project controls, Project Schedule and budget management, contract administration, quality and risk management, progress monitoring/ reporting, and change management activities for systems integration.
What Skills and Qualifications Do I Need?
- Completion of a university degree in Engineering; Applied Science; Engineering Science; Science in Engineering; Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related discipline – or a combination of relevant education, training and experience deemed equivalent.
- P.Eng (Professional Engineering License) and PMP (Project Management Professional) certification are assets.
- Familiarity with key principles of systems engineering under the International Council on Systems Engineering (INCOSE) is an asset. Demonstrated experience in project management, preferably in the public sector
- Demonstrated experience managing projects involving Systems Integration in planning, design, construction, and commissioning in a Light Rail Transit environment. Experience in Systems Engineering, Systems Interface and Systems Integration processes, standards, and applications.
- Experience in Stakeholder Management.
- Experience in Rapid Transit system planning, design development and execution, and delivery to Revenue Service.
- Familiarity with different stages of verification and validation would be an asset.
- Experience in project management principles and practices, including budget and schedule controls, leading and directing cross functional teams and monitoring project activities for adherence to timelines, budgets, and project performance objectives.
- Demonstrated project management skills and experience to manage multiple complex project elements under pressure to meet schedule, budget, and quality requirements.
- Knowledge of Contract Law, the Occupational Health and Safety Act, Environmental Assessment Act, and railway infrastructure construction and construction practices.
