An exciting opportunity to join the lighting design department as a lighting design apprentice. The team are responsible for producing schematical lighting design calculations and visualisations for external environments.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities:

• Produce Exterior lighting calculations for a variety of environments such as Car Parks, Residential roads, Architectural buildings and bridges, Campus and Rail stations.
• Understand clients briefs and technical performance criteria
• Communication with the Local Sales Managers to work with them to create suitable solutions that achieve the clients brief within the budget constraints.
• Attend site visits and customer meetings when appropriate
• Ensure the CRM database is updated with process information on the projects and include any design changes
• Working closely with the Projects team and Engineering team
• Attending relevant industry events and trainings

• High attention to detail

• Experienced using Microsoft Office Packages (Excel, PowerPoint, word etc)
• Knowledge of AutoCAD or other 2D CAD software
• Knowledge of SolidWorks or other 3D software is beneficial but not essential
• Satisfactory GCSE (English and Maths included)
• Looking to do an Engineering based Apprenticeship, such as Engineering Design Technician (ST0164)
• Aged 16+
