The Role
The People, Culture & Talent Coordinator at Totem will be responsible for the day-to-day management and guidance of HR policies and procedures, Bamboo HRIS, PCT initiatives and administration, employee wellbeing & engagement, talent acquisition and development, culture & values and employee relations. They will build strong relationships with our People Leaders and colleagues and be able to give guidance on complex employment issues. We are looking for someone who can work in a standalone role, has professional confidence and is a positive and proactive person. What You’ll Be Doing:
- Be an approachable figure within the organisation that provides support and guidance to colleagues, people leaders and senior leadership.
- Coordinate the People, Culture & Talent department at Totem, overseeing the day-to-day HR, recruitment, training and development functions.
- Champion Equity, Diversity & Inclusion practices throughout the organisation
- Develop and promote wellbeing and positive mental health initiatives of the organisation
- Take ownership of the full employee life cycle from onboarding to offboarding
- Support a performance management programme and processes where we can nurture, reward, and develop our talent.
- Provide guidance and leadership on complex HR issues across the organisation.
- Manage the HRIS – BambooHR.
- Maintain a good knowledge of employment legislation to ensure that the HR policies and processes are relevant and up to date.
- Champion best practice with all employee relations issues across the business, ensuring fairness and consistency of approach.
- Driving forward the culture at Totem, including embedding, and enhancing Totem’s values.
- Provide training and mentorship for People Leaders and Senior Leaders - developing their management skills, and team leadership.
Our Ideal Candidate:
- Proven success within previous HR/People/PCT roles with a good level of experience.
- Someone who is comfortable with assuming responsibility for and upholding established processes.
- Ability to communicate effectively to all stakeholders and to build relationships at different levels of the organisation.
- CIPD qualified to level 3 minimum.
- Excellent understanding of current UK employment law.
- Ability to develop and promote HR related policies, procedures and processes.
- Deep knowledge of the principles, practices, and procedures of HR, ranging from compliance, recruitment, compensation, and employment law, employee relations, talent management / performance management, and training.
