This is a full-time, permanent position based in our Packhouse at our Ely site.
We are seeking a motivated individual to take responsibility for the efficient movement of goods within the Packhouse, while ensuring compliance with health and safety procedures. The role also involves operating and overseeing the packing lines, ensuring that packaging processes meet Company quality standards and that products are prepared accurately and on time for distribution.

Key Responsibilities
MAIN DUTIES
- Ensure that the packhouse machines are switched on, checked, and relevant paperwork completed.
- Production plan – liaise with the Team Leader and line team to ensure the production plan is prepared for the day.
- Supervise the operatives on the line.
- Ensure all machine related tasks are carried out in line with the health, safety & hygiene rules of the Company.
- Understand specific equipment’s cleaning requirements and liaising with the Housekeeper and QC when applicable.
- Maintain stock levels of packaging materials needed for the day, communicating with Packhouse Management Team.
- Collaborate with the Quality team on actions raised through GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices).
- Report all incidents, near misses and accidents to the Packhouse Manager, or PH Team Leader as soon as possible for investigation.
- Liaise with the Team Leader in ways to minimise waste.
- Report errors and problems as soon as possible to the management team.
HEALTH & SAFETY
- Ensure that all work carried out is completed with the full awareness of you and your colleagues health and safety.

- Report accidents and incidents; near misses and unsafe practices.
PEOPLE
- Welcome and train new colleagues.

- Communicate all issues to the management team.
- Ensure communication between the team is effective.
GENERAL
- Understand how each department fits into the structure of the Company, following reporting lines.
- Communicate with team and employees on the line.
